Gina and Ken Sandro are devastated to share that their beloved dog Rux passed away on May 10, 2025. He was 12 years old.

They first met Rux at a friend’s house during a Shepherd adoption event. He came right up to them, put his front paws on Ken’s shoulder’s, and continued to hug him. They knew right away that Rux was meant to be in their lives.

Rux’s favorite thing was walking on the trail by the lake and dunking his head into his inflatable pool to look around for his toys. He also loved cuddling with his parents and his cat sister, Flux.

Rux is survived by his parents, Ken and Gina, as well as his human sister Tabby. He was predeceased by his cat sister Flux and his dog brother Keeny.

“Rux was the best gift we could ever have,” Gina said. “A loyal friend and pet — we’ll never forget him.”
