Cynthis Eames is devastated to share the news that her chihuahua, Chiqui, passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 15. She leaves behind five sisters: Rhianna, Denicia, Evie, Eva and Maya.

Chiqui loved to play and would chase her sisters around the kitchen. She enjoyed playing "get your food" with Rhianna, Denicia and her grandma Lilia. She also loved to eat McDonald's fries, rice, hot dogs, sopita and tortillas. She enjoyed being carried like a baby and having her belly rubbed.

“Chiqui rescued us 15 years ago when she landed on our front driveway on a rainy day,” Cynthia said. “Rhianna and Denicia fell in love with her, and despite our many, many tries to find her rightful owner, no one ever came forward. Chiqui was then adopted by us and we were able to love her and care for her for the last 15 years.”

Chiqui was the family’s only pet, and she enjoyed it that way. “She loved barking at people walking by our front door,” Cynthia said. “She loved to be held and always barked at us when she smelled fries. She will be missed very much!”
